FEAST of the EIGHTH DAY SYMPOSIUM

Cyril_of_Alexandria_for_Web_Feasts.jpgEach year the Eighth Day Symposium falls on the weekend of Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday - you can count on it. And every Friday evening during the symposium weekend, we celebrate the life of a saint. The first year we celebrated St. Gregory the Theologian, the second year we celebrated St. Anthony the Great, and this . . . . Under Construction

FEAST of ST VALENTINE

IValentine_for_Web_Feasts.jpgn an attempt to recruit and maintain high-quality soldiers, Emperor Claudius II (r. AD 268 - 270) prohibited marriage. FEAST of ST PATRICK

Patrick_for_Web_Feasts.jpgWe'll be celebrating the Feast of St. Patrick for the seventh consecutive year on Saturday, March 14 in this 2015th year of our Lord. Like previous years, we'll serve a meal (this year we'll have corn beef and cabbage), we'll learn about St. Patrick's mission to Ireland with a lecture by Rod Learned, and we'll have live music by John Korbel & Co. . . . Under Construction

But in truth, she is more than that; he is Theotokos, the 'one who gave birth to God.' She is not just an edifice, an impersonal temple, in which God is found and worshipped; nor is she simply . . . . Under Construction

FEAST of the NATIVITY of our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST

Nativity_for_Web_Feasts.jpgWe celebrated an annual Nativity feast for five years in a row, from 2009 - 2013. We are bringing it back to cap off our busy 2015.

The format for this year's feast will be similar to those in the past––with food and drink, prayers, readings, reflections, and music. But this year we'll have a catered meal from Michael Farha and we'll be feasting at St George Orthodox Christian Cathedral. Learn more
