A local FELLOWSHIP HALL where the MEN break BREAD, tap the KEG, and toast their HEROES.
On the second and fourth Thursdays of each month, men gather at The Ladder to engage in a vigorous, non-“lowest-common-denominator” type of ecumenism among the three Great Christian Traditions. We aren’t afraid to put on our theological boxing gloves to spar for a minute, and to take them off for a shared pint the next. If you haven’t seen a Catholic listen to the life story of John Wesley; if you haven’t watched a Protestant learn about Evagrius of Pontus; and if you haven’t seen Orthodox, Catholic, and Protestant men sit around a table together and talk theology until midnight . . . then you need to come to the Hall of Men. Doors at The Ladder open at 7 pm, food is served at 7:30, and the Eighth Day Convocation (Hymn, Nicene Creed, Patristic Reading, Scripture and Lord’s Prayer) starts at 8:30, followed by the lecture.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.

We hope to eventually create a gallery of heroes.
Audio archives are slowly being made available for Eighth Day Members.
The Hall of Men will gather on Thursday, April 26 in the year of our Lord 2018.
Director Doom will present Jacques-Paul Migne. Described as a "crazed merchandiser of sacred learning," this 19th century Frenchman was responsible for the 400+ volumes of early Christian texts in the Patrologia Graeca (Greek Patrology) and the Patrologia Latina (Latin Patrology). His work serves as an inspirational model for Director Doom and the Eighth Day Institute.
As usual, doors will open at The Ladder at 7 pm and food will be served around 7:30 pm. At 8:30 pm we'll prepare for the lecture with the Eighth Day Convocation: hymn, patristic and scripture readings, the Nicene Creed, and the Lord's Prayer. Then a great lecture followed by good questions, discussion, and fellowship.
We hope you can join us at The Hall.
Christ is Risen!
