"'Our Dear Charles Williams': Tolkien's Friendship with the Oddest Inkling" by Sørina Higgins

Williams’s poetry is dense and difficult, packed with obscure allusion and layered with mystical symbolism. Sørina will take us through a close reading of Williams’s poem “The Vision of the Empire,” which contains the anatomical geography Tolkien didn’t like but also provides something like a key to Williams’s whole Arthurian myth.
